Bayport-Blue Point BSA Troop 130
Boy Scout Troop 130, chartered by Bayport Methodist Church, is the second oldest continuously chartered troop in Suffolk County. A fixture in the Bayport and Blue Point communities for over seven decades, Troop 130 offers a detailed program of events: camping throughout the year, opportunities to learn new skills, and many outdoor activities such as skiing, backpacking, and white water rafting. Scouting provides an educational program for boys and young adults, to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness, self-discipline, and self-reliance.
Troop 130 is growing and is always ready to accept new boys from the ages of 10 through 17, even if they’ve never been involved with Scouting in the past. The Troop meets on Thursday evenings during the school year at Bayport Methodist Church (482 Middle Road). For further information about Troop 130 or about Scouting in general, contact Scoutmaster Matthew Bollerman at 631-678-5480.
