"Every day, they met together in the temple and ate in their homes. They shared food with gladness and simplicity. They praised God and demonstrated God’s goodness to everyone. The Lord added daily to the community those who were being saved." - Acts 2:46-47

Connecting Ministries

Building relationships is a huge part of the Gospel.

We believe that God exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  God lives in community within God’s self, and calls us to be part of it.  The community of believers embodies this relationship for the world!

You’re invited to be part of God’s sacred community, where everyone belongs and everyone is loved.  Throughout the year, we offer opportunities to connect and belong:  barbecues, luncheons, concerts, trips and more.

We’re reaching out our hand to welcome you… Will you take it?

Christian Softball League

Our Christian softball team plays every spring-summer through the Suffolk Christian League, which was established around 1975.

Our fabulous team is the Souls!  Home games are played at the James Young Middle School (see map) according to the 2021 Bayport Souls Home Games Schedule.  Spectators are always welcome to come and cheer on our team!

Anyone involved in our church is welcome to join the team (men and women).  You must be 15 years old by March 1st to play.  Players can join the team as late as June 30th.  To be added to team’s roster, please contact Team Captain, Steve Imbrenda, at simbrenda77@gmail.com.

Youth Group (“The Crew”)youth logo 2

The Crew is Bayport UMC’s youth group for 6th-12th graders.  The Crew hold various events throughout the year, including a retreats and day events.

The Crew aims to be a place where youth can have fun, fellowship together, and grow closer to God.  Our activities include games, skits, lessons and trips.

Get the Bayport UMC Youth Group Consent Form.

United Methodist WomenUMW-Logo

The “UMW” is provides the support of fellow women on the Christian journey.  The UMW takes on missions and offers educational opportunities throughout the year, especially our annual Women’s Day in January.

While every woman in the church is considered part of the UMW, they are also invited to partake of smaller “circles” of women.  These circles of women support and encourage each other on the road following Christ.

Online Communities

In our technologically savvy world, virtual communities can be deep and meaningful.  The sharing can be rich.

You’re invited to engage us on our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) to join in the conversation.  Look for the social media buttons on ANY of our website pages to talk with us!
